The new timetable will take effect on 14 December 2025.

For a long time we have lobbied Northern to achieve improvements for rail passengers along the Tyne Valley Railway.  Stations such as Brampton and Bardon Mill had a limited service throughout the week whilst many had restricted Sunday services.  

Also aware that services along the Tyne Valley Railway have frequently been disrupted as a result of issues on routes east of Newcastle, we sought solutions to the delays and cancellations faced by passengers.  From December,  most services from Carlisle will terminate at Newcastle, hopefully reducing the impact of issues on the routes east of Newcastle.. 

The new timetable will see numerous enhancements to the services with changes to train times.  Check the train times from 14 December 2025 here.
