From Sunday 21st May, Off-Peak Day Returns on the Tyne Valley line between Hexham and Newcastle (inclusive) will no longer be subject to the evening peak restriction. This restriction currently prohibits use of Off-Peak Day Returns on all Northern trains leaving Newcastle, Dunston, Metrocentre and Blaydon between 1601 and 1759. Off-Peak tickets will now be valid on all trains in each direction which depart after 0900 Monday to Friday and at all times during weekends and Bank Holidays.
